And this lot is only a starter, there’s loads
more to do and see this year. Get the Oil changed, the iso’s
shimmed up, pump up the tyres (Oh and check your timing) and get out there and
enjoy it. And before I hear the “I’m getting too old for this” excuse just take
time to think of fellow Scot & Norton Owner (won best Dommi
prize at the International at Blair Atholl) Robbie
Allan, who at 65 had a go at his first Lisboa – Dakar
Rally, unfortunately Robbie had to call it a day on Stage 7 but what an effort
and an inspiration to us all. Are you ready to settle down to a life of non
activity and accelerated decline or are you going to take control in 2007!

No pipe & slippers for him!!!
Lothians Classic Club Run
The annual “Frostbite run this year attracted around 55 bikes.
Pretty impressive for a wet & windy day in January. The run was held over
the back roads around Peebles & Innerleithen. Interesting bikes included a
Ducati engined Norton, nice original “oily rag” Norton Inter and a pre war
racing AJS Some really nice scenery that
the locals keep to themselves, single track roads which were empty, a really
good day culminating in lunch at the union club in Innerleithen (free for club
members which was excellent value, £5 membership and at least £5 worth of
food). My thanks to the organisers.
Bike pictures & same story on my
new Blog page http://www.etribes.com/ginostravels
Still waiting for a story from JD
about his Morrocco trip! Just the highlights & Lowlights will do John, no
need to tell us about the dodgy stuff!
If you have anything to add to the Newsletter please send
me your contribution to either;

And I’m happy to announce that the club website is back
up and running on the NOC server with links to the old site from there. www.tayvalley.nortonownersclub.org
I’m hoping to get a new picture
gallery up and running soon on these pages.
